Thousands of fans see them every game. Some people have their own preconceived notions of what they mean while others stare at them puzzled.

What's really behind the USU basketball players' tattoos? Seniors Chris Session and Durrall Peterson help shed some light on the mystery of these well-known body images.

Peterson has numerous tattoos all over his body. All of them have a specific, personal meaning which includes where he came from, his name and also the names of his grandparents.

"They are a story of my life," he said.

When asked how his mom felt, he said she "didn't like them at all," but because they had good meanings behind them, she learned not to hate them as much.

There are many more images Peterson wants to display, and he said he plans on getting another one.

When asked how often he gets tattoos, Session replied, "Usually when I have free time."

Session has too many to count, but after a minute of thinking, he said it's somewhere around 10. His most meaningful ones are not seen much at the games, with one being a description on his chest and the other as his mom's name on his stomach.

So how does his mom feel about her son's fetish for tattoos?

"She doesn't like them to this day," he said.

Fortunately for her, he's the only child in the family old enough to get tattoos, at least for a couple more years.

There is no say to how many more Session will end up with, but he said he is planning on getting a few more within the next couple weeks.

For some people, tattoos can be a sign of rebellion or to make a statement, but for these Aggie ball players, they're artwork that's enjoyed by spectators everywhere.
