Editor,
I would like to second Mr. Mano's request (Letters, Nov. 8) for Mr. [Merlin] Olsen to join the USU football squad. I have always wanted his autograph and so this would be the perfect opportunity for me to get it. On top of that, his mother still lives here in Logan, and wouldn't it be nice to have her son close at home?
I think that this change has been a long time coming, but a new coach is not the only thing that the football team is lacking. As Bobby Jackson pointed out in Wednesday's Statesman, a new quarterback would also be nice, but beggars can't be choosers right?
